Accommodations for the National Seminars and AGM Posted on Oct 20th, 2008
Greetings CANSI Colleagues, YOUR INPUT IS REQUESTED
I am writing to see who will require accommodation in Whistler during the National Seminars and AGM from Dec. 4 - 8, 2008. The Pacific Region Refresher sessions will run concurrent with these sessions. More details will be published soon at www.cansi.ca. CANSI will organize accommodations on behalf of out of town attendees on a shared room, dormitory style, with kitchen basis. The cost estimate is $50 per night per person depending on how many people express interest. It may be less and we will do our best to seek out the best deal. Please register for the seminars and AGM on line at www.cansi.ca/en/courses/. There are options in them for accommodations.

CANSI Telemark Instructors presenting module at CSIA 2008 Members' Convention Posted on Oct 9th, 2008
The Canadian Ski Instructors Alliance (CSIA) holds annual conventions for their members at the start of the season. The conventions take place at Lake Louise in the west, and Mont Tremblant in the east, and allow alpine ski instructors to improve their skiing and teaching skills by signing up for modules covering a wide range of topics.
At this year’s convention, CANSI Telemark instructors will be presenting Introduction to Telemark Skiing as one of the half day modules.

Call for submissions for fall 2008 XCitation Posted on Oct 7th, 2008
Well, once again, summer has sped by and it’s time to get ready for ski season! The deadline for articles for the fall issue of XCitation is October 15. The deadline for the winter issue will be November 15.
Send in your stories about how you stayed fit this summer, what you hope to accomplish as an instructor this winter, or anything else that tickles your fancy. Energy recipes? Stretching/training tips? Something you want to see in XCitation that isn’t there? Send it in. Remember to send a pic of yourself and/or your subject as well. I am looking for staff profiles, your favourite drill, your best moment as an instructor. Be heard!

Don’t forget that your 2007/08 membership expired on September 30th. To continue to receive XCitation automatically and to take advantage of CANSI’s other membership benefits such as insurance please logon and renew your membership. Prices for 2008/09 are the same as those for 2007/08.
