Celebrating life of Larry Sinclair (1956-2015) at Highlands Nordic on June 13th, 2015 Posted on May 24th, 2015

As some of you may know already, Larry Sinclair - the owner of Highlands Nordic, one of the finest, privately funded, Nordic ski center in the country - died on Sunday Jan. 25, 2015 following a lengthy battle with cancer. He is survived by his wife, Pat Elson, and daughters Megan and Kelly who (along with her husband Chanse Dionne) are now largely looking after his facility.
His death is big loss not only to Highlands Nordic, CCC (Cross Country Canada) and CCO (Cross Country Ontario), but also to CANSI Ontario. He was one of the rare Nordic ski coaches who supported not only Nordic athletes, but also recreational skiers. He always helped us whenever we wanted to run courses at his center - including the CANSI National seminars in Jan. 2008 and the annual CANSI Ontario XC Course Conductor training weekends in early December.
Help us celebrate his life - by sharing some food and your stories - on Saturday, June 13th at his Highlands Nordic resort from 1 to 4 pm. Snacks and non-alcoholic beverages will be provided. Everyone is welcome.
If you plan to come, please send an email to larryslifecelebration@gmail.com by June 8th.
Otherwise, please at least share your stories here, on his obituary or on one of the other websites listed at the end of this article. Here are some memorable quotes about Larry:
